Religion

Bali is the only island in Indonesia with a Hindu majority, which gives it a special atmosphere.
The Gods are everywhere on the island, both in family temples in the temples that cover the whole island.

Quick reminder different gods including The Trimurti (or Hindu Trinity).
The Trimurti embodies the cycle of manifestation, preservation and dissolution of the universe which is Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer.

BRAHMA : Embodies creation
It has four faces and carries 4 vedras : the 4 sacred texts of Hinduism.
His vehicle is the swan and his wife Saraswati the Goddess of Knowledge.
He was born in a lotus flower, the flower represents an extension cord of Vishnu.

VISHNU : Embodies preservation
It also has four arms. In one hand he has a shell in which it blows to cast out demons. In another has a spinning disk: the spiral of enlightenment with which he kills the evil forces. The third hand holds a mass of gold symbol of power and the fourth a lotus flower.
The vehicle of Vishnu is Garuda : the sacred bird.
When the world is disturbs, Vishnu descends to earth in the form of an avatar, the most famous being Krishna, Rama and Buddha. Vishnu is already down 9 times on earth.

SHIVA : The god of destruction
He has a third eye in the forehead, a symbol of wisdom, and a snake around his neck. He carries a trident and runs a small percussion instrument. In his hair, a crescent moon, the symbol of the time. Her hair is the origin of the Ganges waters, the sacred river. His vehicle is the bull Nandi.
Shiva represents the destruction but for the purpose of creating a new world. Its symbol is also the lingam and symbolizes creation. His eyes half closed. He opens for the creation of the world, closes to its destruction before starting a new cycle.

Sanghyang Widi Wasa

Balinese supreme god
The term was brought by missionaries to describe the one God… and it stayed in Bali as the Supreme God. It is also called Acyntia.
The appearance of this supreme god is relatively recent. It is often associated with the god of the sun. Its representation is that of a man surrounded by flames.
